Sidney & Polly

Sidney, aka Bugle Boy of Page Mill, was born Aug. 5, 1993. Sidney is rather independent (typical beagle), but he does like to snuggle up to us. His favorite things include: eating anything and everything (cardboard, grass, wood chips, pine needles, roses, pansies, liver treats, and other delectables); sniffing; sleeping in the sun; playing tug-of-war; getting his back scratched; going to the dog park; and sleeping in his foam bed. One of his nicknames is "The Lump," because he will lie on his back and let us pick him up and carry him or drag him or whatever, without ever moving. He's a son of Ch. Tashwould Deja Vu, currently (1996) one of the nation's top beagles in conformation, and we're very proud of his father.

Polly, aka Bonnie Belle of JeNeill, was born Jan. 14, 1995. Polly is more assertive than Sidney: at the dog park, she frequently seems to think that she's a big dog and challenges dogs that are 3 times her size. But she is also more "needy" than Sidney. She just loves to be near us all the time, and she usually whines when no one is paying any attention to her. Her loves include: also eating anything and everything (the same things as Sidney - they're not picky!); sniffing; picking on Sidney; wrestling and playing; and going to the dog park. She's not much of a sleeper; she is nearly always on the go. One of her nicknames is "Monkey," since she squirms and climbs and never stays still. Sidney and Polly are first cousins - their fathers are full brothers.

Sidney and Polly live with their parents, Elizabeth and Joe, in San Jose, Calif.
