Chronicling the life of Clayton and Spenser, with memories of Scooter

October 2, 2007

Yesterday after work I took my camera to the front yard in the hopes of getting some photos of the boys. They were uncooperative, roaming the yard aimlessly and unphotogenically. So I sat down on one of the Adirondack chairs to enjoy the quiet and cool air. Spenser regards anyone sitting on an Adirondack chair as an Adirondack chair cushion and so he climbed onto my lap and surveyed the yard and driveway, waiting, perhaps for Phillip to drive up. Anyway, that is the background to this picture. With Spenser on my lap I aimed at his head and snapped away, pretty sure nothing would come out of it. So imagine my surprise when I saw this. They say eyes are the window to the soul, and I have to agree.
