Chronicling the life of Clayton and Spenser, with memories of Scooter

May 5, 2009

It's partly the fault of Phillip and me that Clayton is so chunky. He and Spenser eat near each other, sort of butt to butt, and Clayton is WELL aware that Spenser doesn't usually finish his meal. After Clayton finishes his bowl, in about 30 seconds, he stands patiently waiting, looking straight ahead, not even casting a glance towards the dessert bar behind him. You can tell when Spenser is going to finish early because he eats slowly, stopping to look out the door to the yard. Then abubptly, he walks away. Now, if Phillip or I are doing our job and standing next to him, we can quickly grab the bowl. Otherwise, Clayton goes into a feeding frenzy, and pulling the bowl or the dog away invites potential injury. Just another meal at the Kramer house.
