Chronicling the life of Clayton and Spenser, with memories of Scooter

May 15, 2008

After I fed the boys their supper yesterday evening I rounded up all the accoutrements required for a trip out to the woods, specifically: treats (for them), socks (for me), and my little camera (the Canon PowerShot A570). And although I am embarrassed to tell you, I also dug up my purple fanny pack figuring that the treats and camera would fit nicely in there freeing up my hands for whatever the woods had in store. I had just gotten to the socks stage when I noticed that Spenser was limping, favoring his front right leg. Poor Mr. Man! A cursory examination revealed nothing obvious or alarming, so I gave him half an aspirin and took off the fanny pack. And that is the story behind today's picture, a very bummed out Spenser who could not have his walk.

You know, even though my favorite camera is still my old Nikon 990, there really is a lot to be said for 7.1 megapixels and their ability to capture outrageously long beagle tongues, don't you think?
