Chronicling the life of Clayton and Spenser, with memories of Scooter

March 24, 2009

Phillip was watching The Dog Whisperer the other day in the garage while he was measuring and cutting wood. Apparently the D.W. recommends using hand signals to convey the fact that you want to stop a particular behavior. The boys do know some hand signals, I use a gentle clapping to tell them to shut the heck up when they're very excited; Clayton understands a little swivel of my hand means "no food here for you, sorry honey." And they both know "wait" which is a palm up, like "stop". So now when Spenser comes over to me with the sole purpose of being obnoxious, I give the "stop" signal and would you believe it, he walks away???
