Chronicling the life of Clayton and Spenser, with memories of Scooter

March 10, 2009

This is the Special Walk™ gate. It's near the gate to the woods, but this gate goes out onto our neighbor's property and the vast expanse of the Special Walk Highway™ beyond. Last Saturday Phillip took Spenser for a Special Special Walk™. These start off with a car ride to the parking lot next to the big trail down the road. They walk due east for awhile, get muddy and have s'mores. Well, I'm not sure about the s'mores but I can attest to the mud. Last Saturday it hit a luxurious 72 degrees. The 6" of snow from the Monday before all melted, but instead of converting to water the snow molecules did what snow molecules do in March -- converted themselves to mud! I know this sounds a bit odd, but trust me, I work in the molecular biology department at Princeton University and have access to some of the finest scientific minds in the world. Snow + March = MUD.
