Clayton, Spenser, Scooter and Sherman: then and now.
July 27, 2009
As you can see, Sherman has a new hobby. Just about all his mischief occurs here,
on the rug in the living room. He likes to chew the books that are on the bottom
shelf of the coffee table and this is where he brings his slipper haul. (Mine are now
on a shelf in the closet. He doesn't go for shoes, thankfully. Yet.) So when I heard
him chewing rather industriously the other day I got up from the computer and
walked over. He was chewing on something beige and I figured it was the foam from
the bed. Until I saw the grocery bag.
Apparently, Sherman had dragged the grocery bag from the kitchen to his rug (while I was unloading groceries), removed the package of chicken and the package of swordfish (two fillets). He then carefully unwrapped the swordfish, set one aside and began working on the other. The first thought which came to my mind was of course, this would make a fabulous DD and I'm sorry that I didn't grab the camera instead of the swordfish, but I felt compelled to get the raw fish out of my dog's mouth. I'm sure you understand. Sherman did NOT want to let go of it and I had to pry his teeth apart. He didn't get very much and we grilled it anyway that night (it was delicious). Who'd of thought? A sushi beagle!
