Chronicling the life of Clayton and Spenser, with memories of Scooter

January 22, 2009

I picked Spenser up after work last night, much to our mutual delight. They removed a couple of stitches, let it drain, and the swelling is just about gone. He does need to go in for a bandage change every day, I don't know for how long, but that's okay, I can take him after work. They fed him Hills Prescription I/D and apparently he loved it, so they sent us home with several cans. He gobbled down his supper, the first time I've seen him do that in awhile. We also get more information about the lumps: the one under the neck was benign, the one on his leg a malignant mast cell tumor, as we had been told. Tumors are graded from 1 to 4 with 1 the best, and his was a 2. We are celebrating this as good news. Now we just have to get him all healed up so he can resume his Special Walks™ with his daddy.
