Chronicling the life of Clayton and Spenser, with memories of Scooter
January 16, 2009
Spenser took his usual place here while Phillip and I ate dinner last night. And he ate an
entire burger after, without even bothering to sniff it! You can see the tumor (in red) that's
coming off today. I'll post an update as soon as I know anything. Wish us luck!
3:00 PM: not much of an update but Spenser is sleeping off the anesthesia, surgery was uncomplicated. Phillip will pick him up in the next hour or so.
6:00 PM: Spenser is home, still very groggy. In addition to the mast cell tumor they removed two other lumps which they don't think are malignant. But, he has a very large incision under his chin. Poor Mr. Man. I'll report in tomorrow. Thank-you everyone for your messages, thoughts and prayers!
11 AM Saturday: Spenser had an uneventful night and is much improved because the anesthesia has finally worn off. He is actually eating! His entire front leg is bandaged so he's hobbling around, but he has gone up and down the stairs and outside (it was -3 when I got up this morning!) Mr. Man!
Sunday: he continues to do well! Details and pictures tomorrow.
