The Daily Digital Photo
Chronicling the life of Clayton and Spenser, with memories of Scooter

January 24, 2008

This photo is from a set I took in December of 2001 and that I rediscovered looking through old photos on my (older) computer. Clayton was in the middle of his first bout of meningitis, but we did not know it at the time. The initial diagnosis was degenerative disc disease, treated with Prednisone and crate rest. Seven weeks of crate rest. Fortunately I was at home, having been laid off shortly after 9/11. Anyway, you can see the tie-out that he's on. He was basically not allowed to do ANYTHING. I love this photo because Scooter is doing what he did best, being a total space-cadet.

"Scooter! Welcome!"

Definitely an outtake but check out that body on Spenser, what a hunk! Clayton was getting pretty bored, and he had several weeks to go. Now, would someone tell me why I got better shots with my 2 mega-pixel point and shoot than my fancy SLR?

I absolutely love Scooter's goofy expression and I used it the next year for this election day DD.
