Chronicling the life of Clayton and Spenser, with memories of Scooter

February 19, 2009

I don't always look at price tags, I know I should, I'm just lazy. When you go to Petsmart for a pedicure, you first check in at the grooming area, tell them what you want, and they give you a bill which you take to the cashier. You pay, she gives you a receipt which you take back to the groomer as proof that you're not a criminal. And during the back and forth Clayton is doing his very best to head for the exit because the scent of nail clippings is in the air and he doesn't like it one bit. Meanwhile, back at the grooming area I look at my receipt and see that I've paid $9 for the nail clip (reasonable), and $11 (IF I COULD UPPERCASE $11, I WOULD) for the nail grinding. What? The nerve! They don't even double the price, they add another $2! Next time it's clip only, then we'll walk them around the parking lot for a hour or two. That should do it! Yes, indeed that should.
