Clayton, Spenser, Scooter, Sherman and Stanley: then and now.

December 22, 2009

Are you ready? Here's your first lesson in how to tell Sherman and Stanley apart. That's Stanley in the back. The easiest way to distinguish them is by their collars. Sherman's is blue and black (actually, he doesn't have it on here) while Stanley's is red. But the more I look, the less I think that red is his color, so that will probably change. Notice the tails: Stanley has a lot more white than Sherman. Similarly, their legs. And, while this picture is deceptive, Sherman's shape is much boxier than Stan's, who is long, leggy and lean.

We had five beagles for a couple of days, which was pretty exciting. Clayton was invigorated by the snow and led them all in a festive round of Christmas carols. Well, maybe he just soloed.
