Chronicling the life of Clayton and Spenser, with memories of Scooter

August 30, 2007

Elliot has the funniest arooooo, it sounds like a cross between a sheep and a cow, though with a deeper bass. I don't think I've ever heard such an amazing sound come for a dog. He is settling in to my sister's house very easily, not a surprise since he has been a frequent guest.

As you might expect, Elliot is Jewish. See his yarmulke?

This is Chloe from down the street. She came over for a play date. Nancy and Rick live in a pretty high density basset hound neighborhood.

Check out Elliot's kitchen camouflage. He is one stealthy basset.

Nancy and I share the gene for not wanting to impose on the dogs. I work with molecular biologists and plan to research this interesting phenomenon. I am flying home today. Phillip and the boys are fine; Tootsie and Buttercup went home two days early. Phillip did call me yesterday to announce a minor crisis - he ran out of dog food! I was able to explain the dog food store concept to him though and I don't think there will be a problem. I'll be back tomorrow from New Jersey!
